English Breakfast is a blend built for purpose — Assam from the flood plains of northeast India brings the malt and body, while Ceylon from the highlands of Sri Lanka adds brightness and colour. Together they make the most versatile and satisfying cup in the British tea canon.

Brew Guide

• Amount: 1–2 tsp (2–3g) per 200ml
• Water temperature: 100°C
• Steep time: 3–5 minutes depending on strength preference
• Method: Loose leaf in an infuser or teapot
• Serve: Black or with milk — both work beautifully

For a stronger cup, use more tea rather than a longer steep time — over-steeping increases bitterness without adding flavour. Milk goes in after the tea, not before.

How much caffeine does it have?

Around 40–70mg per cup — a solid morning lift without the intensity of espresso. Enough to get you going, not enough to rattle you.
