Caffeine-free · Naturally sweetened · Serves 1
Our take on the golden latte — warming, aromatic, and a little bit somewhere else. We've added cardamom (a nod to the coffee cultures of Ethiopia and Scandinavia) and swapped maple syrup for coconut blossom sugar, which has a subtle caramel depth and a lower GI.
Ingredients
- 1 tsp turmeric
- ½ tsp ground cinnamon
- ¼ tsp ground ginger
- ¼ tsp ground cardamom
- Pinch of black pepper
- 1 tsp coconut blossom sugar (adjust to taste)
- 250ml milk of your choice (oat works beautifully)

Method
- Warm the milk gently in a small saucepan — don't let it boil.
- Whisk in the turmeric, cinnamon, ginger, cardamom, black pepper, and coconut blossom sugar.

- Continue whisking until smooth and frothy.
- Pour into your favourite cup.

- Dust with a little cardamom and cinnamon to finish.
- Sit down. Breathe.
Notes
- Dairy-free: Oat or almond milk both work well. Oat gives a creamier finish.
- Sweetness: Start with 1 tsp coconut blossom sugar and adjust — it's subtler than maple so you may want a touch more.
- Froth: A small milk frother gives a lovely foam on top.
- Black pepper: Don't skip it — piperine activates the curcumin in turmeric and increases absorption significantly.
